Montana · Built over time

The work
speaks for itself.

Four decades of showing up, solving what the day brings, and building with care.

The builder

A life measured in work done right.

For more than forty years, Shannon has built in Montana with quiet competence and no need to make a show of it.

He keeps his word. He shows up. He solves the problem in front of him and refuses the shortcut that will become someone else’s trouble later. Since 1986, SLT Construction in Belgrade has carried that standard into homes made to outlast trends and serve generations.

There is excellence in that kind of work, but no arrogance. Shannon lets the result speak for him.

The Shannon Tope Story

We Build Montana

This song was written for Shannon—for the man, the work, and the forty years behind the name.

Ready when you are. Music never plays automatically.

We Build Montana

More than a slogan.

It is the record of a life spent building homes, ranches, cabins, gathering places, and family legacies across Montana—one honest day of work after another.

Selected work

A record of what lasts.

Verified projects and original photography will be added here. No stand-in projects are shown.

Years of experience

Not a slogan.
A way of working.

Experience is knowing what matters before it becomes a problem—and caring enough to get the small things right when no one is watching.

Detail study

Original craftsmanship photography to come

Craftsmanship

The details carry the whole.

Good building is a chain of considered decisions: material, fit, weather, use, and the hands that bring them together. The final story will pair those decisions with close, honest photography of Shannon’s work.

Montana knowledge

Build for the place you’re in.

01

Weather

Plans meet wind, cold, heat, and a short working season.

02

Material

Choices are made for the life of the building, not the photograph.

03

Judgment

What forty years teaches is when to pause, adjust, and do it properly.
